Dr. David Megran, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. David Megran is Alberta Health Services’ Chief Medical Officer, working to establish and strengthen the new “dyad” model of shared leadership and decision-making.
Prior to joining Alberta Health Services, Dr. Megran was the chair of the Medical Advisory Board in Calgary prior to being appointed as the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of the Calgary Health Region in January 2005. His extensive prior experience encompasses not only medical affairs but also quality and safety, and clinical operations leadership.
Dr. Megran received his MDCM from McGill and pursued Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases training in Toronto and Vancouver, respectively.
