STI and TB Services Moving to Alberta Health Services
On April 1, 2010, the Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Program and Tuberculosis (TB) Control Program will be moving from Alberta Health and Wellness (AHW) to Alberta Health Services (AHS). Current staff will be moving to AHS with the Programs.
Labs: Please re-program your fax machines and change your mailing labels to ensure STI lab reports are received in a timely fashion.

- We do not anticipate any disruption in services or any impact on clients.
- Until further notice, the process for completing forms and medication replacement and distribution will remain the same.
- AHW will continue to be responsible for setting provincial policy and strategic direction for STI and TB.
- The move of STI and TB services does not impact the provincial Communicable Disease Program, which continues to reside within AHW.
- The public STI/HIV Information Line remains the same (1-800-772-2437).
