Our Team

Physician and Nurse: The Physician and Nurse offer regular medical check-ups. They will ask questions about what the family does to be healthy and if anyone else in the family has had difficulties with weight. They will assess the child’s current health and future health risks.

Psychologist/Psychiatrist: The Psychologist or Psychiatrist will talk with families to see if they’re doing okay and how they get along with each other. They will ask questions about feelings, school, friends, and home to better understand the family.

Dietitian: The Dietitian knows a lot about food. They will ask questions about what foods are liked and not liked, and what is usually eaten. They can help families make healthy food choices.

Exercise Specialist: The Exercise Specialist knows a lot about fitness and physical activity. They can help families get active. They will ask questions about what games and sports are liked and not liked, and what activities are usually done. The Exercise Specialist may also ask the child to do some activities, like walk on a treadmill, in order to see how fit they are.

Administrative Assistant: The Administrative Assistant helps families book appointments and answers general questions about the Pediatric Centre for Weight and Health.

Community Liaison: The Community Liaison writes newsletters and other resources, and works with health professionals and community organizations to raise awareness of the services offered by the Pediatric Centre for Weight and Health.
