Apple Magazine
Looking for a little night-time reading? The summer issue of Apple magazine looks at how sleep is the foundation of health at any age. As Apple contributor Deborah Lawson reports, getting a good night’s sleep is often a matter of following a consistent routine, no matter what your age.
“Sleep is often taken for granted, but its regenerative powers are amazing,” Dr. Richard Musto, a medical officer of health with Alberta Health Services, says in magazine’s editorial. “Sleep is only one of the building blocks of health.”
The current issue of Apple also features stories on:
- “Alberta’s top 15” is a rundown of the province’s finest innovators and innovations
- “Get your fingers on these pulses” feature a recipe tasty warm cheddar and bean dip
- “What to wear when you bare it all” offers advice on protecting you and your family against harmful UV rays and bug-borne diseases
- “Growing a more natural yard” looks at healthy, natural alternatives to keep your garden green
- “Alberta gets a new kids’ emergency department” highlights a new medical place designed to put children and their families at ease.
Apple magazine is available at more than 1,800 locations across the province, including more than 200 at Alberta Health Services sites.
