Influenza Immunization Information for Employers
In addition to offering influenza immunization, free of charge, through publicly funded clinics, Alberta Health Services also works with businesses and organizations in both the Calgary and Edmonton Zones, to provide their employees with influenza immunization in the workplace.
Workplace influenza immunization programs offer onsite influenza immunization to employees of these organizations. Employees must be 16 years of age and older to be eligible to receive influenza immunization via their workplace program. Employers pay for vaccine on a “fee for service” basis. There is no cost to the employee.
This year, Alberta Health Services will support workplace influenza immunization programs from October 17 – December 16, 2011.
