Ambulatory care to close for 15 hours over new year

December 21, 2011

COALDALE – Ambulatory care services at the Coaldale Health Centre will be closed from 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, until 8 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, as no physician coverage is available.

Emergency Medical Services, including a paramedic, will provide critical care coverage at the Coaldale Health Centre during this time.

In an emergency, residents should call 911.

For less urgent medical situations, Emergency Department access is available at the Raymond Health Centre and Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

Additionally, Health Link Alberta offers non-emergent medical advice from a registered nurse, 24 hours a day, at 1-866-408-5465.

Alberta Health Services is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than 3.7 million adults and children living in Alberta. Its mission is to provide a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans.
