Diagnostic Ultrasound Services
Diagnostic sonography (ultrasonography) is an ultrasound-based diagnostic imaging technique used to visualize subcutaneous body structures including tendons, muscles, joints, vessels and internal organs for possible pathology or lesions. Obstetric sonography is commonly used during pregnancy and is widely recognized by the public. There are a plethora of diagnostic and therapeutic applications practiced in medicine.
Ultrasound examinations: Patients will be required to follow pre-examination preparation procedures prior to undergoing an ultrasound examination.

Hours of Operation
Ultrasound is available Monday to Friday and closed weekends and Statutory holidays. There is no after hours coverage available at this site.
Referral needed
A completed requisition from a qualified medical physician must be received by Diagnostic Imaging prior to the booking of any ultrasound procedure.
Wait time
There is a waiting list for ultrasound examinations. Patients with urgent medical conditions will be given priority when scheduling ultrasound examinations.
