Physical Therapy
This program provides assessment, consultation, and treatment services to people who have illness or disabilities that affect their mobility and their ability to manage the physical demands of daily living.
Access to physical therapy services is acheived via a referral from a physician or other health professional (physical or occupational therapist, nurse practitioner).
In-hospital and continuuing care facilities offer services covered under the provincial health plan. Patients with third party payer coverage requiring outpatient care are directed to the private physiotherapy clinics.
