Our Performance
The Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute strives to be at the forefront of treatment for cardiac patients. The collection and analysis of procedures, wait times, urgency levels, and other key data indicators aid in both clinical and administrative decisions which ensure the timely and appropriate treatment of our patients.
Results provided by the Performance Improvement team, in conjunction with findings from the Canadian Institute of Health Information, enable comparison to other Canadian Institutions. Evaluation of Cardiac Bypass Surgery (CABG), Heart Catherizations, among others, further enable the Mazankowski to make decisions to positively affect patient stay, treatment, and outcomes.
