Movement Disorders Program - Foothills Medical Centre

Provides assessment, treatments, and recommendations for movement disorders, such as:

  • Parkinson's disease
  • Huntington's disease
  • dystonia
  • Tourette's syndrome
  • essential tremor

If possible, a family member or caregiver should stay with the client during the appointment.

Clients can also  take part in the research and education part of the program.

Getting there

Several buses stop on the Foothills Medical Centre site. These include bus numbers 20, 40, 91, and 419. Foothills Medical Centre is located one block south of 16 Ave (Trans Canada Hwy).

  • Monday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Tuesday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Wednesday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Thursday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Closed between 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm.

A referral is needed to access this service. Call for more information.

You need to be referred by a doctor.

Referral should include patient information and any recent assessments and test results.
