Regional EMS Foundation - Grande Prairie EMS Station
The Regional EMS Foundation builds relationships with our communities to secure funds to support:
- Injury Prevention and Control
- Emergency Medical Response
- Community Health
- Training and Research
- Public Education
- Emergency Preparedness
The Regional EMS Foundation has 3 major fundraisers:
- Wine Fair & Auction held in February of each year
- Star of Life Golf Classic in Memory of Shawn Waldron
- Ambulance Chasers Run held in September
These events help raise funds to support initiatives and promote awareness and prevention components within our communities.
The Regional EMS Foundation accepts:
- gifts of cash
- gifts of kind
- stock and planned gifts from corporations and the general public for the purpose of supporting Troy Drysdale Memorial Emergency Services Bursary
- Human Patient Simulation Training Unit
- Safety City EMS kiosk
- Medi-Magnet Program
The Regional EMS Foundation has supported:
- EMS Cadets and High School First Responder Program
- Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) Program
- along with various medical co-responder groups, and other community groups that work to support our mission
