Volunteer Resources - Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury
Volunteers play such an important role in Alberta Health Services (AHS). If you are interested in volunteering with Alberta Health Services, contact the location where you would like to volunteer. There is contact information on each site’s page. Volunteer Resources can tell you what programs are available and can send you an application package.
A meeting with Volunteer Resources will be set up once your application is received. You will meet with them to talk about your skills, interests, and availability, as well as learn about location guidelines and the volunteer opportunities that are available. Based on this meeting, a placement best suited to you is arranged.
You must have a security check completed before you start a placement. This can take several weeks. Baseline health screening may also be required. All volunteers will be given an organization and facility orientation, followed by a department-specific orientation, when they begin their placement.
