Health Equipment Loan Program - Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre
This program is a partnership between Alberta Health and the Canadian Red Cross, lending medical equipment for up to six months to people recovering from surgery, illness or injury.
To equip clients properly, a written referral by a healthcare professional is required. Occupational therapists or physical therapists in rehabilitation departments at hospitals, home care offices, and private clinics can assess client needs and determine what equipment will best aid their recovery.
Equipment loaned includes (but is not limited to) basic model wheelchairs, commodes, walkers, bathing equipment, raised toilet seats, crutches, etc..

Public Transportation available. Grandin LRT station approximately 1 block south of Edmonton General Hospital. ETS bus stop in front of the facility

- Wednesday 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
- Thursday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Saturday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
A written referral from healtcare professional is required.
Equipment is available on a first come first serve basis. It is recommended to call first to confirm availability of equipment. If available, medical equipment will be held for 72 hours to allow time for pick-up.
