Women’s Health Resources, part of the Women’s Health Ambulatory Care Program, provides:
- Individual consultations and short term counselling by telephone or appointment with a psychologist, nurse and/or dietitian. This service is free of charge with no referral needed;
- Workshops on a wide range of health and well being topics including Complementary Health, Finance, Food and Nutrition, Health Check, Move Your Body, Parenting, Home Improvement, Personal Development and Relationships. A fee is charged for these workshops, however, some financial assistance is available on request;
- The Bloom newsletter, published three times a year, covering current women's health and well-being topics;
- A Knowledge Centre/library, affiliated with the University of Calgary, with over 5,000 current books, videos, CDs and magazines on women's health and well-being issues and family health topics. There is also a reference library for professionals as well as access to on-line journals and databases. Two computers are available in the Knowledge Centre for public use;
- An Outreach Program that provides education support to women who face barriers to accessing health education and information;
- Corporate and community presentations on a variety of health and wellness topics;
- On invitation and when appropriate, participate in Health and Wellness displays.

Female - 12 years of age or older.
Males participation allowed for workshops as identified in the Workshop Brochure.

Fees
No fee for counselling services. Workshops: $40.00 for a 2-hour event
Financial assistance available for workshops/education sessions. Early registrants for workshops receive $10 off their fee. Multiple workshop registrations (3 or more) receive a 10% discount 10% discount for AHS staff
