Spina Bifida Clinic - Pediatric
Clinicians provide information about the child's strengths and current limitations enabling parents to make informed decisions about treatment. Additionally, parents become better advocates for their children and they¿ll promote as much child development independence in their child.
Available to
Children aged 0 to 12 years with neuromotor or neurodevelopmental disability due to spina bifida, spinal dysrhaphism, spinal cord injury, or tumors of the spinal cord. Child with complex needs requiring intensive, specialized diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing follow-up. Parent/caregiver must attend with child. Child must require specialized, multidisciplinary service.
Referral needed
Completion and submission of a Glenrose Hospital Children's Referral Form and supporting medical documentation.
