HomeCOVID-19Worker-to-Worker Transmission

Worker-to-Worker Transmission

With our numbers on the rise, we have to continue to be extra careful and take the required precautions to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We each have a role to play in protecting each other — patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and visitors.

As we continue to monitor our COVID-19 response and the impact on AHS healthcare workers, we know the transmission is continuing to occur within our workplaces. There’s risk for transmission of COVID-19 in spaces, such as break rooms, charting areas, open workspaces and other common areas if appropriate control measures are not followed.

Joining me to talk more about the prevention of workplace transmission of COVID-19 is Dr. Stephen Tsekrekos, Medical Director for Workplace Health and safety.

Stephen shared the highlights of a new summary report on healthcare worker COVID-19 infections, the most critical thing healthcare workers can do to limit workplace transmission and what leaders can do to ensure their teams feel supported in making safe decisions to protect those around us.
