Outpatient Continuous Peripheral Nerve Block Program
Alberta Children's Hospital is the first hospital in Western Canada to have an Outpatient Continuous Peripheral Nerve Block (CPNB) program. CPNB is a type of regional anesthesia. This is when we use a numbing medication to freeze one area of the body to help with pain after surgery.
