Recruiting Wave 1 physicians

Connect Care Wave 1 will launch at several Edmonton Zone sites in November 2019, and work is underway to make sure that physicians are supported.

Area trainers are physicians who will deliver in-classroom training to their peers while promoting transformation and clinical improvement. Physician super users will become clinical experts in use of the system and trusted resources to support their peers in learning new workflows.

We are recruiting for both of these critical physician roles from a broad spectrum of clinical departments and specialty areas affected by the Wave 1 launch. Clinical Operations recruitment for super users is also well underway. Wave 1 staff can connect with their leaders for more information.

A sneak peek at non-medical devices

The Information Technology team has released a new video that demonstrates some of the inpatient non-medical devices that will be used as part of Connect Care. Devices showcased include Workstation on Wheels (WOW), barcode scanners, laptops and wristband printers.
