Childhood Growth Monitoring

Information for Health Professionals

Alberta Health Services supports childhood growth monitoring through the implementation of consistent growth measurement practices and growth chart use across the province.

Regular growth monitoring allows for early intervention and support for families and supports healthy growth and development in infants, children, and adolescents.

Information and resources are also available to physicians working in the community, including Primary Care Networks, to create consistency in childhood growth monitoring across all health care settings in Alberta.
