Mental Health Diversion Services

Works with low risk non-violent offenders with mental health concerns to get criminal charges withdrawn by demonstrating a commitment to treatment alternatives

This service redirects individuals with addiction and mental health needs with low risk minor criminal offences from the Criminal Justice System to the appropriate community based health services. Clients are assessed with goals established to assist in the treatment and access to mental health, addiction and community resources.

This service is voluntary and client driven.

Eligibility

Individuals 12 years and older with::

  • mental health diagnosis
  • concurrent disorder
  • low risk offence
Referral Needed

You must be referred by the Crown Prosecutor's Office.
