Immunization Business Unit

Provides vaccines to the public that are not funded by Alberta Health on a fee for service basis.

The Immunization Business Unit (IBU) is a specialty clinic that provides vaccines and immunization services that may not be funded by Alberta Health.
Services include:

  • vaccines for occupational risk, such as influenza, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, TB tests and pre exposure rabies
  • Zoster (Shingles), Human Papiloma Virus (HPV), Meningococcal, and Pneumococcal vaccines
  • immunizations needed for entry into post secondary educational programming

Vaccines and immunization services are fee-for-service and are available by appointment only to individuals, or to employers on a contract basis.

Eligibility

18 years and older (less than 18 if registered in post secondary and requiring immunization for same; 16 and over if influenza immunization in the workplace program).
