Hepatitis and Cirrhosis Clinic

Supports patients with Hepatitis C or Cirrhosis who qualify for special therapy curative treatment.

Clinic consists of a multidisciplinary team of nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacy, dietitian, and allied health services for patients with an established diagnosis of one of the listed conditions. Services include supportive education for patients & families, assistance to set-up medication funding and delivery, monitoring during treatment, and education to prevent re-infection.

Service Providers May Include
dietitians, gastroenterologists, occupational therapists (OTs), registered nurses (RNs), social workers
Eligibility

People who have been disgnosed with chronic hepatitis C, who are interested in further education and/or treatment.

Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

Patients who do not have a familty physician can contact the clinic for further assistance with the referral process.
