The seventh annual Kidney March Patient Exercise Challenge sees the entire Southern Alberta Renal Program pulling together for an epic journey across the entire nation of Brazil.
In honour of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, this year's challenge follows the official Olympic torch route through Brazil. From coastal towns to the Amazon rain forest and on to Rio itself, the route covers an incredible 33,550 miles. In order to tackle this monumental distance, we're all in it together!
SARP patients from every hemodialysis unit will be working together to achieve their goals and improve their overall health and happiness, both by exercising during their dialysis treatments and by living more active lives. This year SARP staff have joined in to help make the journey possible, contributing their own exercise to the team as patients and staff march side by side in support of healthier living.
