The CCC is part of a comprehensive infrastructure strategy for cancer treatment in Calgary that includes both inpatient and outpatient services. Services are based on clinical priorities as identified by the Alberta Health Services Calgary Cancer Service Plan 2012, that include:

  • Outpatient cancer clinics;
  • More than 100 patient exam rooms;
  • 160 inpatient unit beds;
  • More than 100 chemotherapy chairs;
  • Clinical and operational support services;
  • Clinical trials unit and Calgary Laboratory Services labs;
  • Wet and dry research labs;
  • Systemic treatment services;
  • Radiation treatment services;
  • Double the capacity to treat patients with the best technology; and
  • New on-site parking.

A variety of services and spaces will be aimed at providing patients, families, and visitors, as well as staff with a pleasant environment emphasizing healing, and hope.
