Precautionary Air Quality Advisory lifted for Lethbridge area

LETHBRIDGE – Alberta Health Services (AHS) has lifted the precautionary air quality advisory issued May 28, 2015 in the Lethbridge area.

Air monitoring has shown the area is currently no longer being impacted by increased smoke and particulate matter from forest fires in northern Alberta. Residents are reminded that air quality can and will vary with weather conditions and prevailing winds.

Information about the air quality in many areas of Alberta is updated hourly on the Alberta Environment Air Quality Website: http://airquality.alberta.ca. Air quality information is also available by phone, toll-free, at 1-877-247-7333.

Residents with health concerns can contact Health Link Alberta to speak to a registered nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week, toll-free at 1-866-408-LINK (5465).
