Blue-green algae advisories lifted in South Zone

SOUTH ZONE – Recent weather has cooled lake and reservoir water temperatures to such an extent that blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) is no longer a concern, including in four bodies of water in South Zone, all of which had previously been placed under blue-green algae bloom advisories.

Effective immediately, Alberta Health Services has lifted the blue-green algae bloom advisories for:

As always, visitors and residents are reminded to never drink or cook with untreated water directly from any lake or reservoir, at any time.
