AHS facility collects shoeboxes filled with art supplies for children in need

CALGARY – The Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre today launches its inaugural Give Back Campaign, which will focus on collecting and distributing art supplies for children in need, helping to foster creativity, growth, learning and development.

Throughout the month of March, Calgarians are asked to collect and fill shoeboxes with art supplies that will be distributed to a number of local organizations that work with underprivileged children. Each box should contain about $12 in supplies, and the health centre is looking to collect 2,000 shoeboxes.

They can be dropped off at the health centre, located at 1213 4 St. S.W., between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. The campaign runs until March 31. For more information, call 403-955-6202, or visit ahs.ca/giveback
