Public invited to PLC Wellness Jubilee this Saturday

CALGARY – People of all ages can learn more about health and social services available in their community at the free Peter Lougheed Centre Wellness Jubilee.

The event runs June 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the hospital, 3500 26 Ave. N.E.

Health, recreation and community service professionals will be on hand to answer questions and provide information to the public.

Participants can tour an operating room, see diagnostic imaging equipment, and visit a medical simulation lab where health providers hone their skills using lifelike, high-tech mannequins and other state-of-the-art technology. Henna application, face painting, EMS vehicle tours, cultural dancing and balloon sculpting will also be offered.

Alberta Health Services is presenting the event in partnership with the Calgary Health Trust and Red FM.
