Contaminated water advisory lifted for Devonshire Beach on Lesser Slave Lake

SLAVE LAKE – Effective immediately, Alberta Health Services (AHS) has lifted the contaminated water advisory that was issued for the water of Lesser Slave Lake at Devonshire Beach (located within the North Zone of AHS), on July 15, 2016.

Water testing has confirmed that bacterial levels are now below maximum acceptable guidelines, meaning the water at Devonshire Beach is again safe for swimming and wading.

AHS will continue to sample this water as part of routine monitoring practices.
