Contaminated water advisory lifted for South Dock Campground public beach on Jackfish Lake

JACKFISH LAKE – Effective immediately, Alberta Health Services (AHS) has lifted the contaminated water advisory that was issued for the water of Jackfish Lake at the South Dock Campground public beach on August 26, 2016.

Water testing has confirmed that bacterial levels are now below maximum acceptable guidelines, meaning the water at the South Dock Campground public beach is again safe for swimming and wading.

AHS will continue to sample this water as part of routine monitoring practices.
