Water quality advisory lifted for Islet Lake

September 11, 2018

RED DEER – Effective immediately, Alberta Health Services (AHS) has lifted the water quality advisory that was issued for the water of Islet Lake, on August 7, 2018.

Water quality has returned to an acceptable level and the health risk is low for usage of the beach for recreational purposes.

As always, visitors and residents are reminded to never drink or cook with untreated water directly from any lake or reservoir, at any time.

Alberta Health Services is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than four million adults and children living in Alberta. Its mission is to provide a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans.
