Primary Container: | One 5 mL red (no additive) and two 5mL lavender (EDTA) tubes | ||
Minimum Collection Volume: | One 3mL red (no additive) pediatric tube and one 3mL lavender (EDTA) pediatric tube | ||
Specimen Collection Requirements: | In the case of NAIT, maternal samples are preferred but it is useful to also collect these samples from the father. Neonatal specimen unnecessary unless maternal samples are not available. Shipping Information: Ship whole blood at RT (protect from freezing). | ||
Processing: | Please call 780-407-8881 to inform of approximate arrival time. Any urgent testing should be sent STAT. | ||
Testing Schedule: | Subject to approval by Director of Transfusion Medicine. May be cancelled upon receipt. | ||
