- Partially filled tubes will be rejected.

Processing:

- Test is currently restricted to ordering by Red Deer Intensive Care Unit.
- Avoid Hemolysis. Grossly hemolyzed specimen will be rejected.
- Do not open the tube for any reason prior to Ionized Calcium analysis.
- Unopened specimens are stable for 1 hr at room temperature.
