Additional Test Information: | Intended for the detection of occult (not visible) blood in feces. Not intended for confirmation of visible blood. FOR ROUTINE SCREENING, see Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT). FOR IMMEDIATE SCREENING from a single stool collection, only on hospital patients, follow the appropriate instructions in the Patient Instruction Sheet: Feces Collection - Occult Blood for labelling the test card and for application of the stool sample. Order with the priority "Urgent" or "STAT". Reports for Urgent or STAT testing will include the following comment: "Testing performed without delay. the test result is subject to interference from Vitamin C supplements (false negative) and dietary and/or medication interference (false positive). | ||
