| Specimen Collection Requirements: | Fasting is required. If Fasting Glucose >7.8 mmol/L GTT is cancelled. Patient given 75g load. Blood drawn at 2 hr post load Refer to Glucose Tolerance Test – 2 Hour Standard (Non-Gestational) Patient Instruction Sheet. Patient must remain at the laboratory for the duration of the test. If patient vomits, the test will be cancelled and physician notified. | ||
