| Specimen Collection Requirements: | Previous 1 hour gestational screen test must be > / = 7.8 mmol/L before proceeding with the tolerance test. Fasting is required. If Fasting Glucose >7.8 mmol/L GTT is cancelled. Patient given 75g load Blood drawn at 1 hr and 2 hr post load Refer to Glucose Tolerance Test – 2 Hour Gestational Patient Instruction Sheet. Patient must remain at the laboratory for the duration of the test. If patient vomits, the test will be cancelled and physician notified. | ||
