Additional Test Information: | Includes glucose, ketones, specific gravity, blood, pH, protein, nitrites, leukocytes, color and clarity. Urinalysis microscopic will be performed if any of the following criteria is met: - Blood positive - Leukocytes positive - Nitrites positive - Protein positive (Lethbridge and Area: Protein >/=0.3 g/L; Medicine Hat and Area: Protein >/=Trace - Medicine Hat and Area also performs a microscopic if sample clarity is cloudy. CAT scan, radioactive dye, Mannitol IV or Dextran IV have the potential to interfere with specific gravity testing using refractometer methods, causing falsely elevated results. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
