Specimen Collection Requirements:

Serology:

Adult: 5 mL GOLD SST

Pediatrics: 2 mL RED

Human T cell Lymphotropic Virus (HTLV) 1/2 Confirmation REF
and
Human T cell Lymphotropic Virus (HTLV) 1 and II NAT REF

Adult: DEDICATED 5 mL LAVENDAR EDTA

Pediatric: DEDICATED 2 mL LAVENDAR EDTA

Collect Monday to Wednesday.

Sample MUST be shipped to NML within 24 hrs of collection (NML is not open on weekends)

Do Not Centrifuge

Send to ProvLab STAT at ambient temperature
