Additional Test Information: | Routine culture of Mycoplasma hominis or Ureaplasma sp. will only be performed with relevant clinical diagnosis. Antimicrobial Susceptibility testing (AST) and culture confirmation is performed at the Diagnostic Mycoplasma Laboratory. Ureaplasma sp. may be implicated in nongonococcal urethritis, Reiter's syndrome and infertility. PCR is performed at the National Microbiology Laboratory
