Clinical Indications: | Diagnostic testing for E. histolytica is included as part of routine Ova and Parasites, Stool. If invasive intestinal amoebiasis or extra-intestinal amoebiasis is suspected, targeted PCR to detect E. histolytica may be performed on tissue/aspirate specimens and stool/feces from the same patient. | ||
