Specimen Collection Requirements: | Refer to University of Alberta, see Alpha-1 Antitrypsin, Feces. Minimum 5 gram spot collection in sterile container. Note: a dedicated sample is required for this test; cannot be shared with other tests. | ||
Processing: | Freeze as soon as possible (within 30 minutes) after collection, then transport to DSC. Send specimen in a separate bag with a photocopy of the requisition. DSC: Ensure frozen specimens do not thaw. | ||
