| Specimen Collection Requirements: | Refer to dynaLIFE Medical Labs, see Alpha-1-antitrypsin phenotype, serum. Two 3.5 mL gold top SST tubes, includes 1 SST for AAT and 1 SST for Phenotyping. | ||
| Processing: | Send a copy of the requisition with specimens. SST tube for AAT: Centrifuge and transport to DSC; DSC Accession deliver to Chemistry. SST tube for Phenotyping: PSC & RRL: Centrifuge and pour off, then transport serum to DSC. Extra-regional: Centrifuge and pour off, and freeze serum before transporting to DSC. DSC: Freeze serum upon receipt in lab; ensure frozen specimens do not thaw. | ||

| Additional Test Information: | Screen with AAT will be performed prior to referral on all samples except familial studies.
