Additional Test Information: | Information for Physicians: FIT is only performed on patients in the age range of 40 to 84 years and is only recommended for colorectal cancer screening of low risk individuals between the ages of 50 and 74. Patients presenting for collection outside of the 40 to 84 age range will not be provided a collection kit but will be provided a letter outlining the age requirements: https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/assets/wf/lab/wf-lab-fit-patient-age-restriction-letter.pdf. For further information on colorectal screening, please visit http://www.topalbertadoctors.org/cpgs. Information for patients: Read instructions completely before collecting your stool sample.
