Specimen Collection Requirements:	PNRC PROVLAB: Collect one 3.5 mL gold top SST tube. Centrifuging is not necessary (Provincial Lab will centrifuge the SST upon receipt). CBS PNRC: collect one 6 mL lavender top EDTA tube. Refer to Canadian Blood Services, contact site lab for instruction if required.
Processing:	Put tube(s) and requisition together in a bag. PSC, rural and extra-regional: Send bag with specimens and requisition to the DSC. RRL: Send bag with specimens and requisition directly to Provincial Lab (Provincial Lab will forward CBS specimens and requisitions to CBS).

Additional Test Information:	Ordering physician: Complete Provincial Lab requisition “Prenatal Testing Requisition 21150” indicating maternal information and check “Prenatal Panel”. Refer to Provincial Laboratory If initial screen CBS testing (ABO/Rh and RBC Antibody Screen) is required, refer to Perinatal Testing for Red Blood Cell Serology Lab staff: If Provincial Lab requisition “Prenatal Testing Requisition 21150” is completed, order PNRC PROVLAB. If CBS-Provincial Lab two-page requisition ("Prenatal Testing - Initial Screen for Pregnant Women" HS 001-133 (discontinued requisition) is completed, order PNRC PROVLAB and CBS PNRC.
