Specimen Collection Requirements: | Samples for blood and random urine for Sodium and Creatinine are required and are all ordered with the FNA mnemonic along with the associated calculations. See for collection requirements. 1 hour, 2 hour or 3 hour urine collection may be requested by doctor. 24-hour urines are not acceptable specimens for this test. Collect blood and urine samples at the same time with no more than 3 hours between blood and urine collections. Delay collection of specimens until 6 - 8 hours after last dose of diuretic. | ||
