| Additional Test Information: | If Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) or other viral hemorrhagic fever (VHF) is suspected, the ordering physician MUST contact the local zone Medical Officer of Health by the fastest means possible. ANY and ALL laboratory testing for patients with suspected EVD or VHF MUST be coordinated and approved through the local zone Medical Officer of Health. Collection and transport of these patients' samples require special protocols and handling. For questions and further information, call the CLS Microbiologist on Call at 403-770-3600.
