| Specimen Collection Requirements: | Lithium Heparin Whole Blood or 2 dry lithium heparin syringes Do not centrifuge tube. Minimum sample 300 µL Lithium Heparin Whole Blood VHF chemistry panels (WBCMP and WBLPP), blood gases, ionized calcium, lactate, BHCG and Troponin I can all be performed on 1mL lithium heparin whole blood. | ||

ANY and ALL laboratory testing for patients with suspected EVD of VHF MUST be coordinated and approved through the local zone Medical Officer of Health.
