Reference Interval: | <0.02 ug/L Whole blood cardiac Troponin I (cTn1) is tested on the Quidel Triage meter. Total imprecision of this assay is high (approximately 25%) compared to other, more precise non-point-of-care cardiac troponin assays. Therefore, caution and clinical correlation is advised when interpreting results. | ||

Additional Test Information: | If Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) or other viral hemorrhagic fever (VHF) is suspected, the ordering physician MUST contact the local zone Medical Officer of Health by the fastest means possible. ANY and ALL laboratory testing for patients with suspected EVD or VHF MUST be coordinated and approved through the local zone Medical Officer of Health.
