| Test Includes: | APL Regional Microbiology performs this testing for specimens collected at Regional Hospital Sites (Red Deer, Grande Prairie, Northern Lights (Fort McMurray), Medicine Hat and Chinook (Lethbridge) Regional Hospitals). Refer to Ear Culture, External (Regional) for test information for these sites. For all other patients, including community and hospital patients in Calgary, Edmonton and rural sites, refer to Ear culture, external (Calgary/South) or Ear culture, external (Edmonton/Central/North) for test information. For swabs deep to the tympanic membrane (middle/inner ear), order as Deep Wound Culture, Swab For sample types other than swabs (eg. tympanocentesis aspirate), refer to Fluid Culture or Tissue Culture as appropriate. | ||
