| Test Includes: | APL Regional Microbiology performs this testing for specimens collected at Regional Hospital Sites (Red Deer, Grande Prairie, Northern Lights (Fort McMurray), Medicine Hat and Chinook (Lethbridge) Regional Hospitals). Refer to Throat Culture (Regional) for test information for these sites. For all other patients, including community and hospital patients in Calgary, Edmonton and rural sites, refer to Acute Pharyngitis Screen (Calgary/South) or Throat culture (Edmonton/Central/North) for test information. Routine diagnosis of Chlamydia trachomatis & Neisseria gonorrhoeae is performed by nucleic amplification testing. Different collection kits are required.
